Archangel Michael is the Angel of Protection for Earth and the remover of injustice. He is generally depicted with his sword of mercy or justice held drawn out of its sheath. He is the “Prince of Light,” the “Son of Light,” and an Angel of Presence. This means that he can withstand the brilliance of God’s presence. He is trusted by God to spread the Light and protect humanity from darkness and harm. Where other angels in heaven disobeyed God’s command to worship humankind, Michael obeyed. According to Encyclopedia of Angels: “Mika-El, is the angel who is obedient in his benevolence over the people and nations” (p.366). Archangel Michael is also believed to be a “watcher” or “Grigori.” Watchers were a superior order of angels whose proper place is either the third or the fifth heaven. They are said to look like human beings (except much larger), never sleep, and are forever silent.” (Lewis and Oliver, p. 413.)

In literature and traditions from around the world-Christian, Jewish, and Islamic- Archangel Michael is one of the greatest of the angels. In the Torah, he comes as the chief of the angels and he is the precursor to the Messiah. In Quran, the holy book of Islam, he is Mikal. In the Surah of the Cow, Michael is mentioned as Mikal. In the Exodus chapter of the Bible, the holy book of the Christians, the Lord warns that he is sending an angel; “Beware of him and obey his voice: do not provoke him, for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him. (Exodus 23;20-21)” In Hebrew the name Michael or Mika-El means with God or who is as God.

The sixth century Persian saint poet, Khaghani, says Michael is “The secret holder of abundance: don’t do with less when Michael is at hand.”

According to Islamic tradition Mika-El is one of the four angels around God’s throne. (The others are Gabriel, Azriel and Raphael) It is understood that the angels that come on the night of power during Ramadan, the holy month of fasting are Mika-El and Gabriel. The Quran says the night of power is better than a thousand months. Therein the angels and the spirit by their Lord’s decree leave and come down. That night is peace till break of dawn. (97;1-5) Bashtar was an ancient Persian name for Archangel Michael. During the Sassanian period (226-641 A.D.) there was a race who called themselves Mika-elian, meaning of Mika-El or descendents of Mika-El. These Mika-elians were said to have brought wealth, light, abundance, wisdom and honor. Through channelings, Archangel Michael has told us that he and his legions of angels have taken human form to rescue humankind from the misery of duality and separation from God.
Michael is the keeper of the Blue Sword of Mercy. He has come to heal us and bring us to wholeness. Archangel Michael and his consort, Lady Faith are the Guardian Angles of the First Ray, the Blue Ray of Divine Will.

Beginning with the year 2005, Michael has begun rebuilding our Earth with threads of gold, silver and platinum. This marked the seven year cycle of prosperity and the driving force which ushers in the Seventh Golden Age.

As a little girl I would see Archangel Michael standing in front of me when I prayed. I would see him holding a sword emanating blue light over my head. Many years later when I began to channel I learned that this was Archangel Michael with his Sword of Mercy.
